Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for the Mechanical maintenance and repair of all Engines and Auxiliary systems.
- Coordinate Daily Mechanical Maintenance Activities at the plant and / assign them.
- Supervise Mechanical Technicians in performing preventive maintenance duties on all major equipment and Auxiliaries.
- Prioritize and assign tasks so that team resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met
- Inspect completed work to ensure that repairs have been completed correctly and that Machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain equipment files, logs and drawings for all designated equipment and ensure that the data files are completed and current
- Monitor the condition of Maintenance equipment, materials, parts and tools, ensure those are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies, and take corrective actions when needed.
- Maintain, control and further develop maintenance procedures and working routines
- Incidents reporting, analysis, investigations and action plans implementation related to area of responsibility.
- Ensure plant performance targets and customer contractual obligations are achieved consistently in own responsibility area.
- Ensure that the work is executed at plant according to Wartsila and customer Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.
- Coach and mentor Mechanical maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery.
- Spares/consumables/tools planning & assist in procurement. Be responsible for effective inventory control/management in the responsible area.
- Maintaining good teamwork including other department personnel
- Complete other tasks as requested by the Operations and Maintenance Manager.
- Develop and implement training program for subordinates. Provide theoretical and on the job training for subordinates including preparation of training material. Structured approach on local employees training and their development.
- Enforces environmental regulation
- Keeps abreast of innovative developments and applies them when applicable

Required educational qualification:
HND/B.Eng./BTech in Engineering (Mechanical) with 5 years of experience
