We are seeking a HVOF (High Velocity Oxy-Fuel) Operator to join our team at our Kruiningen workshop. This role will report to Team Leader Welding and it is a fulltime role worked in 2 shifts.

Important: the position is open for both skilled and experienced candidates and starters, unexperienced candidates willing to learn.

The HVOF Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining HVOF thermal spray equipment to apply protective coatings to various components. The ideal candidate is willing to learn and understand the thermal spray processes, has attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Note: High-Velocity Oxygen Fuel (HVOF) is a thermal robot spraying coating method in which a mixture of oxygen and fuel is injected into the combustion chamber and subsequently ignited; it is used to improve or restore a component's surface properties and/or geometry.

What you will do:

• Operate HVOF thermal spray equipment to apply coatings to parts and components according to specifications.
• Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, masking, and pre-heating as required.
• Monitor and adjust spray parameters to ensure optimal coating quality and adherence to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of HVOF equipment to ensure proper operation.
• Inspect coated parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, including process parameters, materials used, and inspection results.
• Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
• Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate would have:

• Technical or vocational training in a related field and / or metal working is welcome.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require standing and working in various positions.

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in a workshop environment.
• Require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as masks, gloves, and safety glasses.
• Involve exposure to high noise, and dust in a cleaning room condition with a high level of exhaust and filtration equipment.

Belangrijkste Verantwoordelijkheden:

• Bedienen van HVOF thermische robot spuitapparatuur om coatings aan te brengen op onderdelen en componenten volgens specificaties.
• Voorbereiden van oppervlakken voor coating door middel van reinigen, maskeren en voorverwarmen indien nodig.
• Bewaken en aanpassen van spuitparameters om optimale coatingkwaliteit en naleving van specificaties te waarborgen.
• Uitvoeren van routinematig onderhoud en probleemoplossing van HVOF-apparatuur om een goede werking te garanderen.
• Inspecteren van gecoate onderdelen op defecten en ervoor zorgen dat ze voldoen aan de kwaliteitsnormen.
• Nauwkeurige registratie van uitgevoerde werkzaamheden, inclusief procesparameters, gebruikte materialen en inspectieresultaten.
• Volgen van alle veiligheidsprotocollen en richtlijnen om een veilige werkomgeving te waarborgen.
• Samenwerken met teamleden en andere afdelingen om een efficiënte workflow en tijdige voltooiing van projecten te waarborgen.
• Continu zoeken naar mogelijkheden voor procesverbetering en bijdragen aan een cultuur van continue verbetering.

Kwalificaties

• Technische of beroepsopleiding in een verwant vakgebied en/of metaal bewerking is welkom.
• Vermogen om technische tekeningen en specificaties te lezen en te interpreteren.
• Uitstekend oog voor detail en toewijding aan het leveren van hoogwaardig werk.
• Probleemoplossende vaardigheden en het vermogen om apparatuurproblemen op te lossen.
• Goede communicatie- en samenwerkingsvaardigheden.
• Vermogen om zelfstandig te werken en tijd effectief te beheren.
• Fysiek in staat zijn om taken uit te voeren die mogelijk staan en werken in verschillende posities vereisen.

Werkomstandigheden:

• Werk wordt uitgevoerd in een productie- of werkplaatsomgeving.
• Het kan nodig zijn om persoonlijke beschermingsmiddelen (PBM) te gebruiken, zoals maskers, handschoenen en veiligheidsbrillen.
• Je werkt in een cleaning room omgeving met blootstelling aan veel lawaai en stof met een hoog niveau aan afzuig- en filterapparatuur.
