Production Planner & Coordinator

“Optimizing processes and systems to take production planning to the next level”


The Production Planner & Coordinator is responsible for the production order process with a focus on production planning, creating drawings, work instructions and cost calculations. All related to the reconditioning of marine components and the production of industrial components.

You have an important task in optimizing the current production planning process and implementing and improving the planning tools and systems.


QuantiServ (a subsidiary of Wärtsilä) in Kruiningen offers specialised, fast and reliable support, maintenance and repair services for customers operating equipment by multiple brands, both in the marine and energy sectors.

The technical support organization consists of 6 people who are responsible for planning, mechanical engineering and logistics. In this position you report to the Team Leader Planning and Manufacturing Engineering. Location Kruiningen, Netherlands.


What are your main tasks and responsibilities?

  • Prepare and execute the production planning in SAP. Monitor and optimise production planning on a daily basis. Continuous improvement of Production planning processes, tools and systems.
  • Coordinate with team leaders, other planners and Sales representatives daily and weekly the production and delivery planning.
  • Create drawing packages making use of AutoCAD/SolidWorks and prepare work instructions and production sequence. Coordinate execution of production process.
  • Coordinate all technical, design, production and delivery aspects with customers for Industrial component production.
  • Operate as a back-up for Transport and Logistic planner for delivery of finished components. You organise and plan transportation with logistic forwarders, shipping agents and customs agents.


What do we expect from you?

  • You have an MBO or Bachelor degree in preferably Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical manufacturing or service environment.
  • Extensive experience with Planning tools, SAP, MS Office and SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of (marine) diesel engines and equipment.
  • You are familiar with welding, machining, reading and understand complex technical drawings.
  • A team player who is energetic, proactive, eager with a high focus on customer satisfaction and results.
  • You are fluent in both spoken and written Dutch and English.
  • Participate in a standby services (on call) duty scheme (even on weekends) for once per month.
  • You live in the area of Kruiningen or are willing to move there.


The QuantiServ team consists of some 500 (55 in Kruiningen) specialised professionals worldwide. They provide reconditioning and in-situ services as well as flexible repair and overhaul services for auxiliary and generating sets onboard customers’ vessels.
