Control Room Operator

Main responsibilities
 

  • Be able to start and synchronize DGs, STG and HRSG.
  • Should have clear understanding of PPA and related clauses.
  • Be able to communicate with NPCC/RCC regarding Dispatch instructions and Isolations/Deisolation as and when required.
  • Analyze all trends of different sensors reading and plant parameters.
  • Reset alarmed equipment on plant panels, be able to identify the alarms which occurred in the electric panels and equipment protection and to correct all abnormalities that occur in this equipment.
  • Report to shift / electrical engineer in case of any abnormality.
  • Take active part in trouble shooting and maintenance jobs during shift.
  • Attend all control room activities.
  • Follow all safety regulations.
  • Carry out any other job assigned to him from time to time.
  • Monitor all parameters of engine and auxiliaries during operation.
  • Assist shift / electrical engineer for operation and maintenance.
  • Be able to identify and locate all existing sensors and transmitters of pressure and temperature of the engines and their auxiliary equipment, knowing how to test them and to substitute them if necessary.
  • Maintain logbook history related to control room activities.
  • Utilize tools, equipment, accessories in such a manner to maximize useful operating life.
  • Be able to start the local and remote engines and to synchronize them and present immediate solutions of protection of the equipment in cases of possible flaws.
  • Must have clear understanding of Maximo and SDXP portals.
  • Must be capable of performing trending and analyzing of different operational parameters.

Qualification: DAE – Electrical with 6 years of relevant experience
