Mechanical Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Job Description:
  • Coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities at the plant and/or assigned team.
  • Supervise plant mechanical maintenance team to ensure that the plant facility and equipment are always maintained in safe and efficient operating conditions.
  • Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are met according to the contract in own area of responsibility.
  • Prioritize and assign tasks so that assigned resources are utilized effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
  • Track inventory and prepare material requirements for upcoming maintenance activities.
  • Inspect spare parts and other materials arrived at site in due time and advise relevant stakeholders about acceptance or discrepancy.
  • Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts and tools, and ensure those are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies and take corrective action when needed.
  • Ensure that the work is executed at plant according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures as well as assigned maintenance plan.
  • Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment.
  • Carry out any other task assigned over the period by Manager Mechanical.
  • Maintenance reporting, CMMS (Maximo) execution and maintenance history management.

 

Requirement:

  • BSc Mechanical or equivalent with 5 years of experience in maintenance of reciprocating engines-based power plants.

 

Job location : LPTL, Faisalabad Pakistan

 

Other desired Skills:

  • Hands on maintenance experience of internal combustion engines (Must have)
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments (Sub part of overhauling engines)(Added advantage)
