If this sounds like you then you will relish the opportunity to join our Financial Statutory Accounting Services Team as our new Senior Accountant. As a Senior Accountant you will be part of a local Financial Statutory Accounting team responsible for Financial Statutory Accounting operations, performance related to local finance processes, financial information and external financial statutory reporting. In this position you’ll be reporting to the local Financial Controller. This is a permanent opportunity and will be located at our offices in Lahore, Pakistan. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include

  • Company level reporting, according to legal compliance and Wärtsilä Corporation accounting manual, guidelines and requirements.
  • Participate in preparing and ensuring correctness of local company's financial situation and tax position, including for example Financial Statements, Profit & Loss Statement, Balance sheet.
  • Accounting and closing activities on company level in SAP, participating in development and optimizing related processes, and supporting the businesses in financial processes. 
  • Collecting and preparing financial information, reports and analysis to internal and external stakeholders and authorities.
  • Contributing in external auditing, internal auditing and internal control reporting of the company. 
  • Supporting and participating in development of Financial Statutory Accounting Services in cooperation with area organisation and in projects which require financial competence and support. 


To be successful in this role, we expect you to have: 

  • ACMA/ACCA (or equivalent) Qualified Accountant with knowledge of key statutory accounting concepts
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Statutory accounting & tax laws and principles, including IFRS & IASs as notified in the Companies Act 2017.
  • Proven and established financial accounting and reporting background.
  • Experience in SAP is must.
  • Good understanding of financial processes, internal control and auditing, good analysing skills.
  • Must be able to work independently as an effective team member
  • Possess the ability to prioritise, organise and manage multiple assignments, keeping deadlines without losing focus.
  • Must be self-motivating and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Must have high integrity and self confidence
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment and across different functions.
