FS Engineer Mechanical

 

We are looking for a FS Mechanical Engineer with a main responsibility in performing Field Service activities on 4-Stroke Marine Engines and Propulsion Systems. The preferred location for this position is in Las Palmas de G. C., Spain.

 

Your role and responsibilities 

 

As a FS Mechanical Engineer your work will include travelling, working on-site (mainly marine installations) in new installations or participating during standard or major overhauls. For us to be the best match, we expect you to have understanding in mechanical engineering and experience from working with 4-stroke engines and Propulsion equipment. As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from working in Field Service and knowledge of conventional and DF/Gas engines, and all kind of Propulsion systems.

The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You'll be working as a part of the Field Service Team in Spain. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, as you will have the support of our operation and technical offices.

Requirements for the position:

 

  • Good knowledge of Written and Spoken English
  • Experience in Mechanical Engineering, especially on Wartsila's 4-stroke engines & Propulsion systems
  • Experience in Troubleshooting, Overhauls and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of Auxiliary Equipment
  • Availability to travel (around 80% of the time)
  • Good communication and cooperation skills, especially in multicultural environments
  • Attention to safety

  • Time management and ability to work under pressure.
