Accounts Assistant (Ref: 32411)

Wärtsilä Voyage Solutions is a leading systems partner to the marine industry and a key component of Wärtsilä’s Smart Marine vision.

We provide automation, navigation and communication systems, dynamic positioning and situational awareness technology for vessels of all types and sizes. Our products and solutions are state-of-the-art, efficient, reliable and provides enhanced solutions and service offerings to our customers.


We have an exciting opportunity to join the team in the Leicester office as an Accounts Assistant. 


What are your main tasks and responsibilities? 


  • Support sales ledger role, involve raising invoices / credit notes. 
  • Assist on purchase ledger, logging and passing invoices, management of PO's.
  • Maintain register of AP and AR queries and actively seek resolution with factory staff via weekly face-to-face meetings and with suppliers via telephone. 
  • Assist with company expenses.
  • Treasury activities, creating payments in the banking system.
  • Chase outstanding amounts due from customers.
  • Assist finance team during month end cycle with ad-hoc tasks i.e posting of journals.

  • A proactive individual who is not afraid to get stuck in. 
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently independently and as part of a team. 
  • Excellent written and numerical skills.
