Area Sales Manager (UK, Benelux, Germany)

 

 

Area Sales Manager – Voyages Services

 

The Area Sales Manager (ASM) is part of the Regional Sales Team of Voyage Services a Business Unit of Marine Power. You will be reporting to the General Manager Regional Sales Europe and will be responsible for the Area Benelux, UK, Germany (BUG). We ask the candidate to be located in either Germany, UK or the Netherlands.

The ASM will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales and Product Sales Team. As ASM you will have four key focuses, as follows:

 

Business Development:

  • Build strategic area plans in alignment with GM Regional Sales and Company objectives that will lead to growth on order intake and market share.
  • Create new business’ by shaping the markets, running innovation projects that will help to develop the existing business model, products and services.
  • Identifying and pro-actively developing sales opportunities with strategic value to the organization

 

Sales:

  • Drive Sales Activity with an effective Sales Pipeline Management.
  • Generating Leads resulting in YoY growth.
  • Managing and securing major sales projects

 

Account Management:

  • The ASM will maintain and increase relevant network(s) to deliver market insights that will impact sales results positively.
  • You will be managing a designated number of accounts, ensuring a positive customer experience, overseeing credit management and managing cross-functional teams inside and outside of the organization for dedicated projects.
  • Contributing to build long-lasting, effective and strategic partnerships with distributors, integrators and/or re-sellers.

 

Reporting and Marketing:

  • Utilize sales analytics and CRM tools in an efficient manner to steer sales activities.
  • Represent Voyage Services at Industry Exhibitions, Conferences etc. to promote the value proposition.

Main requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business is preferred.
  • You bring at least 5 years of relevant work experience in B2B Sales, so that you are familiar with solution based/ strategic selling methodology.
  • The maritime industry is known to you and you know the markets and it drivers.
  • Selling and convincing people is fun to you because of your strong entrepreneurial and success driven mind-set.
  • You can think strategic based on your analytical skill set, which allows for a structured way of working.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player abilities to work with different stakeholders in a fast-paced and dynamic working environment – always keeping the focus on solutions and positivity.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English. Proficiency in local languages is highly welcomed.
  • Solid command of MS Office solutions, ERP and CRM applications.
  • This role requires you to travel about 50% of your working time.
