We are now looking for a
Marketing Specialist (m/f/d)
to become part of our Automation Navigation Control Systems (ANCS) business unit, which has just secured a new multi-year Naval contract to supply our systems to their fleet of vessels. The position is temporary for 12 months and the preferred location is in Leicester - United Kingdom but also Hamburg – Germany, Hørsholm – Denmark, Drammen – Norway and Diano d'Alba – Italy are possible locations.
What you will be doing
Our Automation Navigation Control System (ANCS) Business unit is within one of Wartsila's Portfolio businesses. Our portfolio businesses are those where Wartsila is open to offers to purchase the business unit and contracts for onward sale
We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Trainee to become part of our ANCS business unit. This entry-level position is perfect for someone passionate about marketing, with excellent communication skills and a strong desire to learn and grow. The Marketing Trainee will support various marketing activities, including digital marketing, content creation, market research, and campaign coordination.
As Marketing Specialist, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Digital Marketing: Assist in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, SEO, and social media strategies.
- Content Creation: Create engaging and relevant content for multiple platforms, including blog posts, social media updates, newsletters, and website content.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor analysis, and opportunities for growth.
- Campaign Coordination: Support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns and promotional events.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing campaigns. Prepare reports and provide insights to optimize future efforts.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, R&D, product management, and service departments to align marketing strategies with business objectives.
To be successful in this role we expect you to have:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
- Experience: Previous internship or work experience in marketing is a plus but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of offline and online marketing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram).
- Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
