Quality Manager - Smart Vessel

We are now looking for a Quality Manager - Smart Vessel to join our QHSES team to ensure QMS and Product Quality. 

 

The Senior Quality Manager for Smart Vessel works in close co-operation with all Smart Vessel business functions and coordinates his activities with other Quality Managers from different Voyage areas applying high class quality proficiency skills to evaluate existing systems, methods and processes, identifying new needs and enhancements and ensuring compliance with relevant Quality Systems and regulations for products, sites and production facilities.

 

As Quality Manager - Smart Vessel, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Manage Product Quality issues for Smart Vessel and support their resolution (e.g. 8D, FMEA, Concessions, Quality Alerts)
  • Maintaining Engineering Compliance and Type Approval for current and new products (ATEX, UKEX, IECEx, MED-D, etc.)
  • Ensure compliance for 9001/14001/45001.
  • Perform internal, supplier and customer audits when required.
  • Data reporting of performance of Smart Vessel products and facilities and related risks.
  • Provide support to the Operations Team to ensure Quality, Cost and Delivery Targets.
  • Perform necessary EHS activities for the Leicester site (offices and assembly facilities) including:
    • Site inspections and Safety walks.
    • Training of Security Officers.
    • Administration of safety cases and implementation of “Safety Days”.
    • Waste management.
    • Hazardous material management 
  • Disaster protection management

 

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
   
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

 

  • Engineering degree (industrial, production, electric, computer, or comparable).
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in a similar quality position.
  • Experience with Sensors and Steering systems for the Marine sector is a plus.
  • Experience with MED and Ex certifications for the marine industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Epicor ERP software is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of data analyse tools and software.
  • Achieving results through strong and collaborative teamwork in multicultural environment.
  • Proactive facilitator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good written and spoken in English. Other languages are considered a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of QHSE disciplines.
  • Management system knowledge and implementation experience.
  • Certification as internal auditor is considered a plus.
