We are looking for a


Systems Engineer


with a main responsibility in research and development. The preferred location for this position is in Leicester, UK. In this position some working from home is offered where tasks allow. 
Your role and responsibilities 


As a Systems Engineer your work will include: 


  • Installing and testing sensor systems in a variety of locations 
  • Contribution to technical documentation
  • Planning and logistics of off-site work
  • Establishing and maintaining an in-depth technical knowledge of the product base
  • Maintaining the highest levels of safe working practices


The tasks can also be adjusted based on your individual skills and interests. You’ll be working as a part of our test and systems engineering team with diverse expertise.  


Requirements for the position 


  • Experience in a similar customer facing role
  • Practical application of sound health and safety practices
  • Understanding of marine positioning sensors
  • A curious mind and a willingness to learn new skills
  • Degree qualified engineer or equivalent experience in a similar role


As an ideal candidate you might also have… 


  • Hands on experience of system installation and configuration
  • Project management experience 
  • Strong IT competencies including networks and system configuration
  • Self-motivation and independent time management
  • Excellent attention to detail
