Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader

We are now looking for a Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader to join our Logistics and Warehousing Voyage team. The position is permanent, the preferred location for the position is in Leicester, UK.

 

What will you be doing

As Warehouse & Logistics Team Leader, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Supervise and be the site point of contact for the existing warehouse and logistics teams at our Leicester, UK location.
  • Ensure that all incoming goods are checked against delivery notes and promptly booked into stock, operating First in First Out (FIFO).
  • Ensure any discrepancies and damage to shipments are reported.
  • Ensure goods are available in the designated Warehouse area.
  • Work closely with 3PL providers to ensure the smooth flow of material.
  • Arranging the movement of goods.
  • Oversee and take an active role in stock counts and audits.
  • Ensure that all goods are accurately packed and packed on-time.
  • Schedule shipments making sure all are dispatched on time contributing to the overall department KPIs.
  • Arranging the transportation booking for outbound deliveries
  • Acting as a POC for customs authorities when/if needed
  • Take an active role in ensuring that all Company health and Safety rules and necessary legislation are adhered to.
  • Ensuring the warehouse is kept tidy, organised and in generally good order.
  • Assist the current warehouse/logistics teams as and when required and provide cover in case of absence.
  • Actively working on your own development and professional skills.
  • Ad hoc duties as reasonably required.

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has proven skills in logistic and warehouse competence. Easily interacts with people from all organisational levels, building bridges and creating connections, and is used to work in a global organisation. Preferred Minimum of SAP Knowledge (Warehouse Module).
