Manager, Network Security

Job Description

 

Information Security organization is responsible for the oversight and coordination of information security efforts across the company and is responsible for identifying security standards, initiatives, as well as setting the strategic direction of the firm’s information security program. Information Security drives risk management as well as security compliance and serves as the key organization responsible with helping the business appropriately manage security risks.

 

Position Description

 

Manager, Network Security will be responsible and accountable to ensure Operational Technology (OT) Network Security is implemented and managed at a consistent level across the company according to the objectives of Information Security.

Join our great team with this new and global role which is based in Trieste or possibly in another Wärtsilä main hub with the required ability to travel as is reasonable.

Manager, Network Security reports to Director, Information Security

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Responsibility and accountability for development and management of OT Network Security through policies and practices
  2. Provide business driven, cost effective management of risk and security vulnerabilities for Operational Technology (OT) that follows international standards and guidance
  3. Following up on regulation and standards that are applicable to OT
  4. Lead for Operational Technology governance in Wärtsilä
  5. Single point security contact for business units for internal OT environments
  6. Plans and manages delivery of Network Security Program to all relevant business prioritized OT locations
  7. Integration of OT risk management into SNGRC.
     
    Detailed responsibility area is agreed and defined with selected person.
     
    General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Innovative mind-set and the ability to challenge existing approaches to information security
  • Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) equipment from a variety of manufacturers and industrial protocols.
  • Knowledge of NIS Directive and industry standards such as IEC 62443, NIST800-82.
  • Understanding of Distributed control systems (DCS) and supervisory control & data acquisition (SCADA) architecture;
  • Understanding of Network and communication protocols common in ICS environments
  • Understanding of ICS design considerations with emphasis on human safety and the availability/security of operating environment
  • Understanding and Knowledge of leading IT and OT security practices
  • Preparation and maintenance of policies, procedures and standards governing the security operations for ICS systems and networks.
     
  • Knowledge of standard security operating processes and procedures
  • Must be both a self-starter and team player with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and presentation skills and the proven ability to influence and communicate effectively.
  • Must be extremely flexible and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities on very tight deadlines.
  • Security-related certifications a plus – CRISC, CISSP, CISM, etc.
