We are looking for Senior Service Technician, E&A to join our team in Manaus, Brazil

 

As a Senior Service Technician, E&A you will perform diagnostics and provide technical advisory for 4‑stroke engines and auxiliary systems, integrating mechanical, electrical, electronic, and automation disciplines. Ensure safe, high‑quality execution, customer satisfaction, and effective on‑site team leadership, in collaboration with back office and technical support functions.

 

Key Responsibilities

- Support troubleshooting of 4‑stroke engines and auxiliary equipment across mechanical, electronic/automation, and system integration domains.
- Perform electrical maintenance and troubleshooting on MV/HV/LV systems on Wärtsilä engines.
- Tune and maintain engine control systems on OEM and non‑OEM products.
- Provide technical advisory for repairs executed under the customer's responsibility, ensuring compliance with site and company procedures.
- Conduct field tests and support the development of new products with customers and internal R&D teams.
- Prepare and submit parts requisitions; ensure all work is carried out safely.
- Proactively consult, advise, and promote Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers.
- Prepare status and service reports and maintain clear, professional communication to ensure customer satisfaction.

 

Requirements

- Technical diploma in Electrical and Automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Automation Engineering is a plus.
- Field experience in electrical and automation for engines, including overhaul and maintenance of high/medium‑speed engines.
- Hands‑on experience in electrical installations.
- Cost awareness and effectiveness.
- Reporting and analytical skills; ability to plan and set targets.
- Familiarity with Wärtsilä products and business understanding (desirable)
- Proficiency with measuring tools (metric and imperial) and specialty instruments.
- Intermediate English.
