We are looking for a Supervisor E&A to join our team in Manaus, Brazil. 

 

Main activities:

  • Perform advanced mechanical, electronic & automation, and system integration-related troubleshooting on 4-stroke engines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Perform MV/HV/LV electrical maintenance and/or troubleshooting on Wärtsilä's engine.
  • Perform Engine control tuning and maintenance on OEM and Non-OEM products.
  • Perform technical advisory for repair activities executed on customers responsibility.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with job performance & through positive interactions with customers
  • Perform internal and external progress status reports (field service & shop) of the assigned work as needed
  • On-site team leading and managing of the assigned team and related activities during the work execution (when applicable).
  • Commissioning of service products.
  • Interacting with FS back office and TS during work execution.
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä quality, health and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
  • Proactively consulting, advising, and promoting available Wärtsilä solutions and products to customers.
  • Perform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values and company policies applicable as an employee and to the position.
  • Led field tests and developing new products with customers and research and development organizations within the company.
  • Prepare & submit parts requisitions as required
  • Proceeds with all work assigned in a safe manner.


Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical & Automation Engineering
  • Experience working as a field service electrical and automation professional engines (high/medium speed engine overhaul and maintenance)
  • Experience in electro-pneumatic &/or electronic control systems including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
  • Experience in electrical installations and commissioning.
  • Experience in commissioning new power plants as an automation engineer
  • Knowledge and experience with L4 Alternators
  • Cost awareness and effectiveness
  • Reporting and analyzing skills
  • Wärtsilä knowledge and business understanding
  • Planning and target setting
  • Knowledge of the use of measuring tools (metric and standard) and specialty instruments
  • English intermediate to advanced.
  • Spanish is a plus.
