Field Service Coordinator

We are looking for a Field Service Coordinator with a main responsibility in managing and coordinating the maintenance operations of our Field Service department.
The preferred location for this position is in Marseille, France.
Your role and responsibilities
As a Field Service Coordinator, your work will focus on managing international service projects related to maintenance, repair, and upgrades of customer assets. You will plan the activities, schedule the resources – human and materials, coordinate the work execution and establish the invoice of the performed activity.
In this position, you are monitoring the project, and you are in charge to make sure that Safety, Quality and Environmental processes and rules are applied. You are responsible for the margin of your projects.
You are the main point of contact of our customer, and as such you are piloting the communication internally and externally. You are establishing a financial, technical and logistical balance sheet of the project, to enhance and share internally our return of experience.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Lead and coordinate Field Service activities, including personnel, spare parts, costs, and time.
- Coordinates multiple service jobs simultaneously.
- Support field service personnel when they are assigned on a job and take responsibility for briefing and debriefing of the engineers before and after the jobs.
- Plans and prepares projects, monitoring Field Service KPIs.
- Acts as the contact person for customers from project kick-off to invoicing.
- Communicate with the customer, our engineers, and sales during the delivery of Field Service jobs.
- Promote effective communication with other departments (technical Service, Sales proposal, Sales, Contract and Project Management etc.) to, according to needs and requirements, ensuring the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Follow-up and supervise needed actions to secure customer satisfaction regarding Field Service jobs assigned.
- Follow-up the service work orders until invoicing, including change orders, technical documentation, timesheets, travel expenses, and vendors invoices.
- Manage all jobs in SAP and CRM (ServiceWorkForce) from an administrative standpoint.
- Ensure that engineers execute the work according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer procedures.
Requirements for the position:
- Mechanical Knowledge (i.e. technical School with Field Service Engineer experience, or bachelor’s degree in engineering).
- Technical understanding of marine products and services, and/or internal combustion engines is a plus.
- Experience in project management.
- Easy with standard office software, and ideally skilled on SAP & Salesforce.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate daily with many different internal and external stakeholders.
- Previous experience in people management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Fluent English.
