Superintendent 4 Stroke

We are looking for a dynamic, high performer Superintendent to join our fast-paced Field Service Marine Power France resource team. The location for the position is in Marseille, but most of your work will be performed outside, whereverour customers are. As such, you’ll be travelling all around the world for most of the time.

 

What will you be doing?
As a Service Superintendent, you’ll be driving a team of service engineers to perform preventiveand curative maintenance on our customer installations. You are the customer point of contact on site, and you are responsible for managing the activities to match customer expectation while following our company guidelines. You are our main ambassador on the Field.

 

For you to succeed in the position, we hope you to have some technical background:

 

  • You hold a general engineering degree in mechanics,
  • You know the internal combustion engines,
  • Ideally you justify an even short experience in the industry, ideally an engine tuning / development background
  • You have at least a scholar understanding of electrical and automatism basics,
  • Your good level of English allows you to ensure technical communication with our networks and in the field with our customers and other shipyards,
  • You are capable to write a structured work report,

 

As Service Superintendent, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • You are the customer's contact person in the field
  • You are responsible for piloting and executing the scope of work as planned,
  • You are responsible for the application of Quality, Safety and Environment rules during said work, as well as compliance with our technical procedures.
  • Keep track of work details and provide deepen reports, including all the necessary details (measurements, photos, way of working, investigations, etc.)
  • Perform internal and external progress reporting on the status of assigned work. Keep track and provide the accounting of time, together with the spare parts to be used.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and conduct of the team you’re in charge of,
  • Ready to travel on short notice.

In this role, travelling is required to reach our customers installations around the world. Thus, we hope you have willingness and flexibility to travel for jobs - approximately 80% of your working time.

Wärtsilä France recrute pour son site de Marseille un Superintendant / Chef de chantier Field Service H/F

 

Au sein de l’équipe d’intervention de notre département Field Service, vous intervenez sur les installations moteurs de nos clients maritimes et centrales électriques, dans le cadre de maintenances préventives, de maintenances curatives ou de recherche de pannes. Ces interventions vous amènent à vous déplacer très fréquemment (~85% du temps), partout dans le monde, avec une prédominance de voyages en Europe.

 

Vous êtes l’interlocuteur du client sur le terrain et vous disposez d’une capacité de discernement et de recherche de compromis qui vous permettent d’apporter des réponses à forte valeur ajoutée à nos clients dans des délais très courts tout en préservant les intérêts de notre entreprise.

Vous êtes responsables du pilotage des travaux réalisés. A ce titre, vous êtes le garant de l’application des règles de Qualité, Sécurité et Environnement durant lesdits travaux, ainsi que le respect de nos procédures techniques.

 

Vous avez la capacité et un leadership vous permettant de piloter des équipes exécutantes (chantier naval, personnel client etc…) dans le cadre de travaux de maintenance.


Durant vos interventions, vous êtes piloté et supporté par un chef de projet et vous vous appuyez sur nos fonctions supports tel que le Service Technique pour trouver les réponses à vos problématiques terrain.

 

Votre sens du service vous permet de comprendre les problématiques client et d’y apporter des solutions, dans le respect des règles de notre entreprise.

 

D’une formation d’ingénieur généraliste, vous disposez de connaissances en moteurs à combustion interne et justifiez d'une expérience de plusieurs années dans l'industrie (automobile, marine, transport) sur des postes relatifs aux moteurs à combustion interne (mise au point, essais, développement, recherche).

 

Votre bon niveau d’anglais vous permet d’assurer la communication technique avec nos réseaux et sur le terrain avec nos clients et autres chantiers navals. Vous disposez enfin de qualité rédactionnelle vous permettant de rédiger des rapports d’interventions structurés et détaillés.
