We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Advisor with extensive experience in operations to join our team in Mexicali, Mexico. The ideal candidate will have intermediate to advanced English proficiency and in-depth knowledge of Wärtsilä engines. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, technical analysis capabilities, and the ability to produce detailed technical reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical advice to customers based on corporate guidelines and technical bulletins to ensure customer satisfaction and meet contractual quality, financial, cost, and time targets.
• Advise on routine maintenance and minor corrective scheduled maintenance in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer's manuals and Prudent Industry Practices.
• Conduct periodic training for customer staff on various issues related to the operation and maintenance of the power plant in coordination with the Client.
• Assist and guide Client's personnel during emergent corrective maintenance interventions to restore power plant operations.
• Participate in minor maintenance activities and support Wärtsilä FS team during major overhauls.
• Maintain continuous, efficient, and timely communication with your immediate supervisor regarding consulting tasks performance.
• Report any issues or situations that may jeopardize the business relationship with the client to the Line Manager.
• Adhere to all legal requirements applicable to Wärtsilä business.
• Comply with customer safety, health, and environmental regulations at the power plant.

Qualifications:

• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
• In-depth knowledge of Wärtsilä engines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and technical analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency in predictive maintenance analysis, alignment, thermography, and non-destructive testing.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with Wärtsilä, combining operational and trend analysis expertise, along with knowledge of maintenance routines.
• Ability to analyze trends effectively.
• Preferred educational background in mechanical or electromechanical engineering.
