IT Coordinator Centro America y el Caribe

As our IT Coordinator Centro America y el Caribe, you’ll be the go-to expert, connector, and problem-solver, reporting directly to the Area General Manager and working closely with teams across one or more sites.

This isn’t just a technical role it’s a strategic one. You’ll act as a liaison and change agent between our Global Information Management team and local operations, ensuring that global solutions are tailored to meet local business needs and regulatory requirements.

 

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll wear many hats: consultant, coordinator, troubleshooter, and trusted advisor. Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

 

  • Be the local IT champion: Understand business needs and propose smart, scalable IT solutions.
  • Connect global and local: Serve as the key contact for global IT teams, translating strategy into action.
  • Deliver exceptional service: Maintain a customer-first mindset while managing local vendors and contracts.
  • Solve problems fast: Be the first point of escalation for critical incidents and ensure rapid resolution.
  • Support and guide: Help users navigate IT tools and services, offer training, and lead information sessions.
  • Drive operational excellence: Manage local systems, support global rollouts, and oversee technical tasks like backups and hardware configurations.
  • Lead change: Support office moves, tech upgrades, and large events, making sure everything runs smoothly.
  • Own the lifecycle: Oversee asset and stock management, from procurement to retirement.

 

Where You’ll Work

This role is based in Mexico City and follows a hybrid model: 6 days per month in the office.

 

Required Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 

  • +10 years of experience in IT, including over 5 years in project management, with a proven track record in stakeholder engagement.

  • Good understanding of ICT Services and solutions 

  • Knowledge of IT Systems and Applications 

  • Understanding of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configurations 

  • Experience in network management, IT Service Management, Data Security Management, Cyber Security  

  • Proficient in English (both oral and written) 

  • Customer-centric approach 

  • Strong coordination and organizational skills.  

  • Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Demonstrates independence, proactiveness and adaptability. 

  • Reporting and analyzing skills. 

  • Skilled in relationship management, collaboration, and delivering presentations. 

  • PMP and/or ITIL certifications (are a plus).
