We are now looking for a 

 

SLS Regional Sales Manager Greece and Cyprus

 

to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Moschato, Greece.

 

What you will be doing

 

Wartsila SLS has a strong portfolio of products, components and associated services for the marine and industrial sector. We are looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team where you will be responsible for developing business opportunities and achieving financial targets within your region for the complete Wartsila SLS offering in the Marine Market. In this role you will be an active member in our sales team, working closely with SLS factory sites, local SLS sales support and spare parts teams, SLS global field service teams, SLS shaft line repair services team and SLS underwater service team to ensure a first-class customer experience. The new build market for customers in this region is very important for SLS and as Regional SLS Sales Manager you will work closely with our teams at the shipbuilder country and the local ship owner to grow the installed base.

 

As SLS Regional Sales Manager Greece and Cyprus, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Proactive customer interfacing to generate leads and sales opportunities.
  • Increase market share of SLS portfolio.
  • Manage opportunity pipeline and customer visits in CRM
  • Update and follow up feedback from customers in the defined area
  • Build up and develop the relationship with customers, including ship owners, ship brokers, ship designers, OEM, Navy, Coastguard, shipyards, Identify and develop relationships with potential & existing customers.
  • Actively engage other (global) functions and team members to capture opportunities.
  • Ensure quality of contracts are in line with Wartsila policies.
  • Customer communication and support for running projects in cooperation with Sales Support Team
  • Business intelligence and knowledge for the Region
  • Grow new build, Spare Parts sales, field service, underwater service, shaft line repair service, upgrades & retrofits for all Wartsila SLS portfolio.
  • Owner work for new build opportunities to support other Areas.

 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have/be:

 

  • Advanced experience in Marine Industry will be a clear advantage.
  • Ability to work in multicultural / international business environment.
  • Self-driven and self-motivated
  • Continuous improvement is at the centre of your daily work. 
  • Openness & willingness to adapt to change
  • Willing to travel intensively internationally to meet customers
  • Proficient negotiation skills
  • Customer centric
  • Wartsila SLS product & system knowledge is considered as an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Marine customers within Italy is an advantage.
  • Familiar with using of Microsoft WORD/ EXCEL/ PPT/ CRM / AUTOCAD / SAP
  • Fluent in English language
  • You have engineering degree or equivalent as a combination of education and experience, preferably in marine business.
  • We are looking for a driven professional with a strong entrepreneurial mind set, who will enjoy the challenge to develop SLS business.

 

In this role, frequent travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 40%.

  • Order Intake, Net Sales, working capital and Profitability.
  • KPI’s set by General Manager, Sales
  • KPI’s set by SLS-Management Team
  • Customer satisfaction
