Wärtsilä's business unit in Moss, Norway, is at the forefront of manufacturing exhaust gas abatement solutions for the international commercial shipping market. We are proud to offer industry-leading technology for onboard carbon capture and storage (CCS), a technology we currently are piloting and intend to launch within a year.
At Wärtsilä Moss, Norway, we have a state-of-the-art research and test facility where we can simulate vessel installations of exhaust treatment technologies in various configurations. This facility is also home to our team of CCS experts, covering all aspects from sales to life cycle support.
Join us in maintaining and developing our market-leading position in the Decarbonisation and Exhaust Gas Treatment. We now have an opening for an Electrical & Automation engineer, to be based in Moss, Norway.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Standardization of solutions – hardware
- Standardization of documentation and templates
- Purchase support
- Sales support
- Service support
- Product maintenance and component approval
- Establish, maintain and follow way-of- working
- Resolution owner for non-conformities related to Power & El system design
- Reports to management
- Internal and external information and training
Development responsibilities:
- Find, test, and approve new solutions - hardware and software
- Improve solutions based on feedback from service and project organization
- Establish needed documentation for management decisions
Qualifications:
- Higher technical education (e.g. Bachelor or Master degree) in electrical engineering
- Experience from maritime (Ship/FPSO), Oil & Gas and/or process industry engineering (Desired)
- Experience with ATEX (Ex) equipment (Desired)
- Experience with EPLAN and Fusion as design tools
- Experience from testing and product verification
- Good English and Norwegian language skills, both verbally and in writing
