Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Business QA Analyst to support quality assurance across our full product portfolio: Port Management Systems (PMIS), Pilotage Dispatch, Vessel Traffic Services (VTS), and WebVTMIS platforms. This role ensures our business applications meet high standards of quality, functionality, and usability across operational workflows.
Working within the Digital Port Solutions team, the ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in QA practices for business software applications and processes, and ideally, a background in maritime operations or port environments. This role will validate real-world business scenarios, contribute to successful customer deliveries, and serve as a key bridge between delivery, product, and support teams.
While primarily based in the office for collaboration and systems access, we offer flexibility for occasional remote work.
Key Responsibilities
Business QA & Testing
- Design, execute, and maintain end-to-end test cases and scenarios for port and maritime software modules.
- Review business requirements and collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and BAs to define test coverage and acceptance criteria.
- Simulate and test real-world port operations: pilotage dispatch, vessel calls, berth allocation, incident workflows, invoicing, and integration points.
- Manage and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for major releases and customer-specific deployments.
- Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing across modules and releases.
Delivery & Support Collaboration
- Support the Delivery Team in validating configuration and workflows during blueprinting and go-live preparations.
- Work closely with the Support Team (L2 interface) to investigate and reproduce business-critical issues.
- Help isolate and document edge cases and cross-module impacts in customer-reported issues.
- Contribute to test environment setups, test data management, and sandbox simulations.
Tools, Documentation & Reporting
- Use systems such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, or equivalent for test planning, bug tracking, and documentation.
- Ensure traceability between business requirements and QA outcomes for internal and customer-facing deliverables.
- Create or contribute to knowledge base articles, test reports, and release validation documents.
Support-Aligned QA Role
- Provide structured testing support for second-line escalations that require business logic validation or cross-functional scenario checks.
- Collaborate respectfully with the support team, offering test-driven insight and diagnostics without replacing L1/L2 responsibilities.
- Help improve resolution time through reproducible test scenarios and business context.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- 3+ years of experience in business QA, UAT coordination, or software testing for enterprise applications.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design, and business process validation.
- Ability to translate business requirements into structured test plans and test cases.
- Excellent communication skills and structured documentation habits.
Preferred
- Background in maritime, ports, or logistics industry, with an understanding of operational workflows (e.g., vessel traffic, pilot dispatch, port calls).
- Experience with QA automation frameworks or scripting (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) to streamline regression testing.
- Familiarity with AI/ML or LLM-based QA tools or test automation accelerators (e.g., intelligent test case generation, defect prediction tools) is a plus.
- Understanding of cloud-hosted environments (e.g., Azure), REST APIs, and basic SQL.
- Experience working in Agile development environments across multi-module systems.
What We Offer
- A chance to contribute to some of the most advanced digital solutions in global port operations.
- A collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on delivering operational value.
- A supportive workplace culture with a balanced office-first setup and flexibility for remote days.
- Growth opportunities within a global team spanning product management, engineering, and delivery.
