QA Engineer - 3D Graphics/Unreal - Simulation

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated QA Engineer for 3D Graphics Development Team to support quality assurance across our 3D Graphics portfolio in Simulation Product portfolio: Area Development and Ship Model Development. This role ensures our 3D Graphics development meet high standards of quality, functionality, and usability across operational workflows.

Working within the Simulation team, the ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in QA practices for 3D Graphics development and processes, and ideally, a background in Gaming or Simulation development environments and experience in Unreal. Any prior experience in maritime operations or port environments will be preferred. This role will validate real-world 3D Area or ship models and contribute to successful customer deliveries, and serve as a key bridge between development, delivery and support teams.

While primarily based in the office for collaboration and systems access, we do offer flexibility for Hybrid way of working.

Key Responsibilities

  3D Graphics Development QA & Testing

• Design, execute, and maintain end-to-end test cases and scenarios for area and ship 3D models in Simulation Software.
• Review business requirements and collaborate with Product Leads, Developers, and Team Leads to define test coverage and acceptance criteria.
• Simulate and test real-world port arrival and departure scenarios and compare with available photographs, google earth and other references available.
• Document and maintain records of the test results using standard internal checklists.
• Co-ordinate and assist 3D Developers in getting the bugs resolved.
• Perform regression, integration, and exploratory testing across 3D graphics development pipeline and releases.

  Delivery & Support Collaboration

• Support the Delivery Team in installation of final released files. (if required)
• Work closely with the Support Team (L2 interface) to investigate and reproduce client reported issues.
• Help reproduce customer-reported issues in internal test bench and assist developers in resolution of the same.
• Contribute to test environment setups, test data management, and documentations.

 Tools, Documentation & Reporting

• Use systems such as Jira, Confluence, or equivalent for test planning, bug tracking, and documentation.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements and QA outcomes forinternal and customer-facing deliverables.
• Create or contribute to knowledge base articles, test reports, and release validation documents.

Support-Aligned QA Role

• Provide structured testing support for second-line escalations that require additional development or cross-functional scenario checks.

• Collaborate respectfully with the support team, offering test-driven insight and diagnostics without replacing L1/L2 responsibilities.

• Help improve resolution time through reproducible test scenarios and business context.

Other required skills:

• Education Diploma/Degree in software development
• Experience: 5 years of experience in Graphics Development QA in 3D world and Ureal
• Hands on experience in User acceptance testing (UAT)
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design and process validation
• Experience in Ability to create structured test plans and test cases
• Experience in Gaming or Simulation development environments
• Have excellent communication skills and structured documentation habits
