We are now looking for a Voyage Data Expert to join our team and help build a better future. The position is permanent, and the preferred location is in India, Goregaon, Mumbai

 

Key requirements:

· Former Chief Mate/2nd Officer (or equivalent) with authority to challenge crew’s requests using seamanship and regulatory context.

 

Qualification & Experience:

  • Sea-going Navigational Officer experience (OOW/2nd Officer or higher) with international voyage planning and ECDIS watchkeeping; 3+ years preferred.
  • Strong ENC selection and route planning domain knowledge, route/frame/coverage concepts, and publication coverage nuances (e.g., country-specific practices).
  • Hands-on with Voyage Planning Software; ability to reconstruct and validate selections from route files swiftly.
  • Well-versed with Admiralty Digital Publications.
  • Excellent written and spoken English; able to articulate safety, legal and commercial rationales to crews and stakeholders.
  • Calm under pressure; thrives in high-volume, time-sensitive operations and collaborates across Sales, Product, and Support teams.
  • Customer-centric mindset, effectively communicating product and solution value to customers.

  • As Voyage Data Expert, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Review and Validate ENC selection done by the crew following the fair usage policy.
  • Operate day to day, approve by Route validation for ENC orders; pause or reject out of route items and drive timely resolution with vessels
  • Validate selections against submitted routes using related tools; apply corridor/XTD concepts pragmatically and document a clear rationale for each decision
  • Support Product/R&D by specifying quick wins (e.g., corridor/XTD validation) and giving structured feedback.
  • Analyse ordering patterns and identify outliers/top consumers; propose preventive actions to minimise overconsumption.
  • Own data quality: Create/Curate knowledge base articles and process guides for internal users and customers.
  • Provide Level 3 expertise on ENC/Publications issues in FOS/ECDIS system.
  • Ensure effective communication with different stakeholders, including customers onshore and onboard crew.
  • Troubleshooting and supporting customers on ENC and Publications issues on our FOS and ECDIS systems. 
  • Provide feedback and input to our internal Product team to support the ongoing development and enhancement of our products. 
  • He/she partners with the Sales, R&D and PMO teams to ensure accurate and timely provision of required Voyage Data Services to the customers 
  • Creation and verification of knowledge base articles 
  • Creation and verification of guides for customers and internal users
