Sales Manager Denmark, Wärtsilä Renewable Gases

As our current Sales Manager for Denmark will explore a new job opportunity, we seek an energetic and structured Sales Manager to fill this exciting position.

 

This position is part of a team of six Sales Managers acting through Europe; all reporting to the Global Sales Manager for Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions (currently based in Sweden)

 

This position is offered on a permanent basis and it will be based out of our office in Denmark, with an option to work flexibly from the home office.

 

There will be frequent opportunities to travel within Denmark and occasionally abroad. Are you ready to jump onboard?

 

 

 

What will you be doing?

 

In this position, you will be accountable for the territory’s order intake, its order gross margin, and its hit rate and market share.

 

As the Sales Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

 

  • Developing the Danish market for biogas upgrading and liquefaction
  • Sales and marketing related activities, engaging with existing and new customers along with other stakeholders.
  • Identifying new business opportunities, leading client negations, and developing these into sales projects
  • Issuing forecasts, budgets and sharp offers
  • Building an even stronger relationship with selected Danish key customers that are set for expansion, both in Denmark and abroad.
  • Fostering a network of contacts, promoting Wärtsilä solutions to key stake holder in the market e.g. consultants, project developers, branch associations etc.
  • Keeping track of market developments including competition. Consolidating and sharing feedback to relevant stakeholders within Wärtsilä.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to:

 

  • Hold an Engineering degree in Chemical and/or Mechanical Engineering or have attained similar proven practical experience within the Biogas sector.
  • Be energetic, with a strong interest in realising business opportunities that contribute to the conversion from fossil to renewable energy.
  • Have a customer focused mindset; with demonstrable experiences of understanding customer needs and formulating actions that meet such needs.
  • Be self-motivated and reliable to take responsibility of your actions.
  • Appreciate the value of teamwork and thrive in both an individual and a team environment.
  • Be fluent in the Danish language, with a good level of English both verbal and written.
  • A good level of the German language is considered an advantage.
  • Have a valid driving license, as this role will require elements of travel.

Wärtsilä Renewable Gases is part of Wärtsilä Gas Solution which is part of Marine Systems. Our go to market name is “Wärtsilä Biogas Solutions” (WBS). WBS is a technology supplier that supply plants on turnkey basis for biogas upgrading and liquefaction of biomethane / methane. Upgraded biogas can be injected to the gas grid or compressed for using as transport fuel (CBG/CNG). Liquified biomethane / methane can be used in the same manner as LNG e.g. fuel for heavy vehicles: trucks & ships. WBS has 65 employees spread over Europe and USA. Kalmar, Sweden manufacture process modules and is a competence centre for upgrading and the head office and liquefaction competence centre is located in Asker, Norway.
