Service Engineer

Wärtsilä Danmark A/S, located in Nørresundby, is looking for a Service Engineer to join us on a permanent basis.

What will you be doing?

 

As a Service Engineer, your work will focus on:
•    Provide field service mechanical advisory and commissioning
•    Give technical advice to Customers and Wärtsilä network
•    Prepare travelling: collection of information, tools, spares, book tickets
•    Participate in negotiations with customers
•    Report and inform the administrative personnel as required
•    Provide internal and external reports
•    Collect and organize time and expense reports after completion of the works
•    Actively participate in digitalization programs
•    Participate in office work
•    Perform internal and external training (coach Customers and Wärtsilä personnel about products under AMS 4-Stroke responsibility

 

The below will enable you to shine in this role:
•    Demonstrable Mechanical background
•    Proven experience within a service environment 
•    Hands on knowledge of Propulsion products
•    High attention to detail with a methodical & practical approach to solving problems and making decisions
•    Appreciation of cultural differences, working across a Global market
•    Fluency in English, both written and verbal

 

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you will be available to travel nationally and internationally for 70% of the year, with flexibility.

In addition to the core team, you will be working closely with Power Supply, Business Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Project Services Sale and the worldwide Sales organisation.
