Wärtsilä Danmark A/S is looking for two Superintendents for Service Delivery activities, one will focus on Propulsion equipment and the other will support our 4-Stroke business. As a Superintendent you independently performs and leads/coordinates major repairs, overhauls,

commissioning and handing over of an equipment.

 

This position is located in Nørresundby, Denmark.

 

As a Superintendent, your main responsibilities will be but are not limited to:

 

  • Follow activities at site: commissioning, overhaul, troubleshooting service activities on Wartsila Propulsion Equipment (Seals, CPP, shafts, OD BOX , Gearbox, etc)
  • Locations: on board , during sailing , in Shipyard and in Drydocks
  • Interface with customer during operations at site
  • TAS with sub suppliers during activities

 

To be successful in this role we expect you to have:

 

  • A genuine passion for engines and automation
  • Willing to travel on short notice.
  • Availability to work on board of sailing Vessels.
  • Cost awareness & effectiveness.
  • Customer understanding.
  • Communication and teamwork skills
  • Coaching skills
  • Cultural knowledge.
  • Experience in Propulsion Control System CPP, TT commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Work experience on Lipstronic 7000, Witchmatic II
  • Systematic way of working and good analytical and organizing skills.
  • Good ability to cooperate and communicate with other people.
  • Good command of English, both oral and written.
  • Willingness to travel
  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering.
  • M.Sc or B.Sc in Electrical, Controls or Automation Engineering.
  • 8- 10 years experience
