Service Engineer 2&4 stroke

We are now looking for a Service engineer 2&4 stroke engine services to join our field service resources Mediterranean region. The position is permanent. The preferred location for the position is in Napoli, Italy, but also Taranto ,Genova or Trieste Italy are possible locations.

 

What will you be doing

 

As Service Engineer, 2&4 stroke, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Execute planned maintenances and repairing jobs on Wärtsilä OEM engines and it’s auxiliaries
  • Overhaul engine components at site/on board.
  • Check and adjust relevant systems (i.e., auxiliary,).
  • Perform audit , check performances and commissioning of Wärtsilä equipment Marine and Power plant.
  • Take a part in trouble shooting process.
  • Carry out engine product troubleshooting, routine maintenance & components investigation.
  • Prepare service work reports by dedicate tool and travel expense reports on time and with expected Wärtsilä quality.
  • Identify failures, making adjustments, assist on trial runs and testing.
  • Collect and organize time and expense reports. Reporting and informing administrative personnel as required.
  • Working by following the Company guidelines including QEHS requirements.

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • English on intermediate/high level
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft package and PC .
  • Communication skills & customer relations.
  • Good knowledge of Diesel & Gas engine maintenance related marine and industrial applications.
  • Strong motivation to learn and grow professionally
  • Ability to follow directions & HSE guide lines.
  • Cultural knowledge and bridging the gaps between different cultures
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Collaborative team player
  • Motivation to travel to our customers  for at least 80%  per year and abroad if required.
