As a "Lead/Senior Software Engineer", you will do
- Technical consultation - Act as senior technical expert of the system - provide technical consultation on solution designs, implementations, and system administration. Approve solution proposals.
- Solution Design and Development - Configure, design, and develop solutions - requirement analysis, solution design, implementations and testcase development. Component configurations, system integrations, Customization - Portal, Work Items, Plan, Reports, Workflows, User access and administration, SSO, Upgrades etc.
- Technical Support and Operations - Resolve system level issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with GTEC (Siemens Issue Management Tool) to raise and escalate unresolved issues. Maintain RCA documents.
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Collaborate with the partner (vendor) team, who are responsible for delivery of technical solution and support, to ensure adherence to quality solutions, and best practices. Engage with business users and other relevant stakeholders as and when needed in various forums - DevForum, CAB etc.
- Continuous improvements and best practices adoption - Analyse, plan, and implement System best practices and improvements for optimal system performance. Utilize technology know- how to automate and simplify standard working processes. Create and maintain KEDBs (technical guide, FAQs, How-tos)
As a successful candidate, You must posses:
- Minimum 7 years of IT experience of which at least 4 years of hands-on working experience with Siemens Polarion system in a global organization using standard processes, tools, and techniques.
- Completed BE/B.Tech/MCA/Post Graduations in Computer Science or other relevant information/computer technology field from recognized institute/University.
- Experience in configuring, designing, and developing solutions using Polarion components (SDK, Integrations & API, workflows, reports, templates, access, permissions, etc.)
- Experience in Scripting (Velocity/JavaScript) and programming language (Core Java/C/C++)
- Excellent in Problem solving, technical/functional aptitude and understanding, including ability to quickly learn new tools, techniques, applications, and technology. You may have
- Knowledge of Server (Linux, Apache) support and configurations including logs, upgrade, capacity enhancement etc.
- Good understanding of ITIL framework, development lifecycle processes, System and Technology architecture.
