About IM Function
 

Information Management (IM) is a Global Function that develops, manages, and operates IT Services globally in Wärtsilä respecting the differences in the businesses to ensure that Wärtsilä gets strategic value from the use of technology and information.


Purpose of the Role
 

We are looking for a mid-senior level SAP Functional expert in SAP Material Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM) & EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) with additional working knowledge in SAP PP (Production Planning) & Quality Management (QM). We are offering a lot of challenges and growth potential for people passionate about supporting business with world-class solutions. In this role you will be part of Global ERP CoE team working closely together with business and other members of our department to enhance the value of the IT delivery and development of the own solution domain.


Location : Navi Mumbai, India

 

Responsibilities:
 

  • Owns and maintains the global templates, processes models, test cases etc in own functional area.
  • Act as a gate keeper to ensure timely submission of quality documentation and necessary approvals before moving changes to production.
  • Owns the solution documentation and ensures the documentations are governed and up to date.
  • Reviews solution proposals/functional designs and guides the developer to ensure the integrity of the system configuration.
  • Act as solution manager to analyses business requirements, develops functional design, supports development team and business to successful deployment of solutions in own functional area.
  • Act as Solution lead to supports, consults, and participates in operational development & strategic projects.
  • Provides system expertise to architects and business stakeholders in exploring and developing new functionality.
  • Responsible for test case automations.
  • Provides 3rd level support for incident handling and recurring problems.​
  • Work in close co-operation with colleagues in ERP CoE and whole of IM, as well as business stakeholders and vendors.


Qualification Criteria:

 

As a successful candidate, you should have:

 

  • Completed Bachelor/master’s degree in technology or engineering from recognized institute.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional & proven experience in SAP Material Management (MM), Warehouse Management (WM) & EWM (Extended Warehouse Management).
  • Working knowledge in SAP PP (Production Planning) & Quality Management (QM) would be a plus.
  • SAP S/4HANA experience will be seen as an advantage.
  • Experience of SAP eSPP will be seen as an advantage
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) & Agile (Scrum) software development lifecycle would be advantageous.
  • Proactive, development-minded, independent, and goal-focused attitude to work.
  • Excellent Problem-solving, decision-making, and solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong interpersonal, and Excellent command of English (speaking, reading, and writing).
