Senior Service Technician

Main Responsibilities:
- Perform field service activities as per the assigned work plan on 4 stroke diesel, dual fuel, and gas based DG sets, including troubleshooting, inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
- Carry out overhauls, repairs, and component replacements on medium speed 4 stroke engines (major/minor overhauls, piston/liner work, cylinder head servicing, fuel injection equipment handling, turbocharger maintenance, etc.).
- Assist in fault diagnosis, operational checks, performance tuning, and adjustments of diesel and gas-engine systems.
- Interact professionally with customer representatives during job execution and maintain a strong service oriented approach.
- Provide regular progress updates to the Superintendent /Service Engineer and ensure smooth coordination during the execution of service jobs.
- Prepare and submit accurate Service Work Reports, including findings, parts used, measurements, test results, and recommendations.
- Respond appropriately to customer queries or concerns and provide clear explanations or corrective action guidance when required.
- Ensure all field activities are executed in compliance with Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines, site safety procedures, and industry best practice standards.
- Follow up and report the status of assigned work orders to internal stakeholders and/or customers as required.
- Continuously seek improvement opportunities and adopt best practices to enhance safety, quality, and operational efficiency.
Qualification: NCVT/SCVT Trade Certificate ( ITI) or equivalent in any mechanical trade. With minimum 4 years of working experience
