General Purpose of the Job:

This is for the Shift Supervisor position and shall be working the shifts on round the clock basis. At Oil India Limited, the control room operation of the Gas Engines (W20V34SG) shall be handled by the customer (OIL) team and the Wartsila team has to execute field operations and maintenance. Hence, this position shall be a shift coordinator for Wartsila & to protect Wartsila from any financial impact (As per the contractual provisions) due to any outages, this position (Shift Supervisor) shall be critical

 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with the customer team for all shift-related activities during the tenure of the agreement (Mechanical, electrical & automation maintenance activities in each shift) at the plant and/or assigned team.
  • Restore the plant operations as & when there is any trip/outage of the Engines as soon as possible.
  • Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract in its own responsibility area.
  • Train maintenance procedures and standards for the new workers.
  • Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools and ensure those are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies and take corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure that the work is executed at the plant according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures as well as the assigned maintenance plan.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
  • Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.
  • Develop the maintenance working routines at the plant.
  • Prioritize and assign tasks so that assigned team resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.

 

Qualification & Experience requirements:

  • Job Location : OIL India Limited, Duliajan, Assam.
  • Educational Requirement: Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering (BE) - Mechanical
  • Experience : Diploma – 8 to 10 years or BE – 5 to 6 years
  • Experience in working on any gas engines.
  • Experience in Wartsila Gas Engines (If possible on 34SG) is desirable
  • Certification in UNIC shall be an added advantage to the site functioning (Optional)
  • Understanding of predictive and preventive maintenance best practices
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency with MS Office and maintenance data analysis
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence
