Maintenance Manager

We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join our southern Africa Operational Organization based  in Ndola Zambia

 

Main Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Manageryour daily duties include but are not limited to:

Accountabilities:

Plan, lead and manage daily maintenance activities at the plant and/or assigned team in order to ensure customer satisfaction and to reach set contractual quality, financial, cost and time targets. Ensure maintenance reliability and availability of the plant according to agreement.

  • Plant performance indices
  • Annual Maintenance plan / Maintenance budget approved
  • Development of competent maintenance resources
  • Manage assigned maintenance responsibilities in accordance with the Agreement Management processes and procedures and general management practices in a safe and cost-effective way in order to exceed the customer expectations. Implementing preventive and corrective action as necessary.
  • Responsible for all activities relating to the daily maintenance management of the power plant inclusive of planning and implementation of plant maintenance.
  • To communicate effectively with the plant team relative to the condition of the plant equipment and performance and to provide suggestions for improvements.
  • Administration and training of maintenance personnel. Setting and maintaining the qualification and training standard for the plant maintenance personnel.
  • Ensure motivated maintenance personnel and good teamwork.
  • Responsible for implementation of plant safety policy and QEHS procedures according to the assigned plan.
  • Establish and implement standard maintenance policies and procedures in accordance with the Agreement Management processes.
  • Prepare reports, plans and budgets as instructed by the Plant Manager.
  • To identify and actively seek to improve maintenance reliability and availability.
  • Negotiate costs and purchase material related to services for maintenance.

Development Responsibilities:

  • Develop the maintenance working routines at the plant
  • Development and improvement of the maintenance plan and all resources to its right implementation and administration

Requirements for the position:

Education:

B.Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent with 5-10 years of managerial experience with large HFO/Gas based power plants maintenance.
