Build engineer

We are looking for a skilled Build Engineer to join our team and take ownership of the build systems and infrastructure for a large-scale, multi-language Windows-based software project. You will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and improving build pipelines, dependency management, and CI/CD processes across multiple tools and platforms.

 

You will work in Scrum team on complex distributed system with tasks in many different domains from visual system to hardware integrations. The team believes in incremental delivery and work in close collaboration with customers. Company-wide communications are in English. We strive to use only English for written technical communication.

This is a permanent role, the location is Belgrade, Serbia

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain build scripts and systems using MSBuild, CMake, Conan
  • Manage dependencies using Conan, NuGet, Pip, NPM and other package managers.
  • Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
  • Optimize build performance, caching, and parallelization.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure build stability and reliability.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot build failures and infrastructure issues.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Windows build systems and scripting.
  • Experience with Visual Studio toolchains..
  • Hands-on experience with Conan, CMake, GitHub Actions.
  • Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in English.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of Jenkins, or similar tools is an advantage.
  • MSBuild
  • Azure DevOps
