Software Testing Engineer

We are looking for a proactive and skilled Software Testing Engineer to join our GMDSS team. You will work in Scrum team on a GMDSS simulator used in maritime academies worldwide for training regulated maritime communications, including VHF and satellite systems, navigational and weather warnings, and communication scenarios between vessels and shore services.

This is a permanent role, the location is in Belgrade, Serbia What you will do:

· Participation in testing for GMDSS simulator system

· Functional testing

· Perform both software and hardware testing of communication devices (e.g., VHF handsets)

· Analysis of test results, identify defects, and document them with clear, structured reporting

· Reproduction of situations leading to errors, their localization

· Monitor bug fixes and validate issue resolutions

· Create and maintain test documentation (test plans, checklists, test cases)

· Work closely with product owners, developers and collaborate with other cross-functional team to ensure high-quality software delivery

· Follow agile methodologies, actively participating in sprint activities

 

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

· 3+ years of experience in Software Testing / QA

· Strong understanding of software testing methodologies processes

· Experience in test design, execution, and defect analysis with a structured, detail-oriented approach

· Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills

· Knowledge of operating system Windows

· Understanding of SCRUM (Agile) processes and the role of QA in software development

· Intermediate or higher English proficiency (all company-wide communication is in English)

 

Will be a plus:

· Basic knowledge of network configurations

· Experience in stress testing and writing simple automation scripts (Python preferred)

· Interest in maritime domain

· Understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
