HR & Payroll Analyst

We are looking for a ‘HR & Payroll Analyst’ to be working in Wärtsilä Brazil in Rio de Janeiro - Centro office.

What it takes:

  • Experience working with Human Resources generalist matters, as well as with Payroll tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities whilst maintaining excellent/high attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously but be a proactive team player, who is comfortable brainstorming, creating, and delivering information and material to both small and large groups of internal stakeholders.

  • Positive and helpful attitude.

Responsibilities: We expect up to 30% of the time will be dedicated to Payroll and the other 70% to HR generalist role.  

Talent Acquisition 

  • Proactively provide support across the business through effective management and support of our applicant tracking system.
  • Deliver effective sourcing support including candidate screening, interviewing and selection as appropriate.
  • Produce regular reports on recruitment status across all business areas.
  • Effectively manage third party relationships with suppliers on resource requirements, e.g. recruitment agency, training providers , job boards.
  • Deliver guidance and support to Line Managers throughout the recruitment process in line with company policy and industry best practice ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Support and deliver process improvement on onboarding activity across our businesses.
  • Work with the wider HR team on apprenticeship requirements and ensure effective management of the BR apprenticeship program.
     
    Learning & Development
  • Conduct regular reports on learning & development activity.
  • Work with the Area L&D Specialist & Global L&D in order to implement and support global initiatives
  • Deliver effective administration across the learning & development tool wilts ensuring company targets are achieved.
  • Work with the wider HR in identifying appropriate learning solutions in line with current providers.
  • Work with third party providers to ensure compliance with legal requirements. 
  • Manage Education and Language Subsidy
     
     Payroll and Benefits Administration
  • Manage the payroll provider daily interaction. Be in charge of making the Payroll and Benefits outsourcing service a total success.
  • Proactively provide support and manage the data and integrity in our data keeper and ensuring proper Payroll Provider is aligned, and make recommendations where necessary to improve efficient and utilisation.
  • Act as front-line support for enquiries and issues from end users and Payroll Provider relating to Payroll.
  • Conduct regular data audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of data and support the wider HR team with corrections or changes when necessary.
  • Support the administration and correspondence throughout the employee lifecycle (including starters, leavers, references, maternity, paternity etc).
  • Payroll monthly conference to validate the calculation and documents issuing related to taxes and legal obligations. As well ensure proper additional and benefits are being properly handled.
  • Ensure proper calculation and simulations for dismissals and vacations.
  • Control and Monitoring of outsourced employees and the legal related
  • Follow up and ensure that all legal information is made properly available on time (INSS, MEC, SESI, Labour Ministry, etc).
  • Ensure SEFIP conference is making proper assignment with “tomadores de serviço”, retention and compensations.
  • Conduct the benefits negotiations, and broker relations
  • Prepare reports as per request, follow up monthly overtime and general costs from payroll.
    Other responsibilities
  • Provide first line support to Managers and employees on HR policies and procedures.
  • Work with the wider HR team on the identification of cost savings.
