Technical Expert

Wärtsilä Moss AS is a global leader in the development, design, manufacturing and after sales services for Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems and Inert Gas systems for marine and offshore applications. Our Customers are shipyards, ship owners and oil companies world-wide.


Would you like to be a part of our Technical Services team for the Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems in Moss, Norway?


Main responsibilities:

• Customer technical support after project handover (warranty and aftermarket period). Reply to Technical Request
• Technical support to sales (upgrade projects and new build/retrofit projects)
• Technical support to commissioning teams, troubleshooting, preparation of lessons-learned and technical bulletins
• Participate in root cause analysis and field validations of new technical improvements
• Field visits for troubleshooting and upgrades
• Training of internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in customer and/or vendor meetings as a technical expert, when complex technical matters are handled.
• On-time and high quality service levels for our customers


Desired skills:
- Knowledge of scrubber technology.

- Experience within Marine Industry.

B.Sc/M.Sc in Mechanical or Automation/Control/Electrical Engineering
