Warranty supervisor

Wärtsilä - Customer Assistance Warranty Services (CAWS), Product warranty management is looking for a Warranty Supervisor to strengthen our team, on our location in Moss, Norway.

 

Position description
 

Warranty supervisor EGCS
Ensure fast processing and decisions on warranty claims for assigned installations.

Actual warranty cost vs. reservation for assigned installations, ensure that correct reservations are in place

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Foster customer satisfaction in all activities
  • Proactively participate in the operative work in the warranty team lead by the Product warranty manager.
  • Administrate warranty claims and respond to them in a fast and professional way.
  • Secure that necessary corrective actions resulting from warranty claims are taken in a timely fashion (provision of parts/manpower)
  • Ensure that accurate reporting, including warranty cost management (provision calculations/estimates), is done on time and in the agreed manner
  • Secure that reclaiming of vendors is done properly and that vendor warranty credits are booked to the warranty work number in question
  • Escalate Customer Assistance projects immediately when encountered and take active part in these projects as a project member
  • Secure feedback and internal reporting to involved stake holders
  • Minimise warranty and failure costs for Wärtsilä and customers
  • Ensuring fast technical resolution (focus on lead time)
  • Establish own network of contacts in order to secure smooth and efficient handling of warranty claims

    Requirements
     
  • Good communication and customer relation skills
  • Systematic and structured orientation
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Multi discipline basic technical knowledge and orientation
  • Computer skills (Microsoft office, SAP and internal database tools etc.)
  • Ability to work and take decisions under pressure and at the same time be a team player.
  • Ability to deal with people from different cultures
  • Technical and economical knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of sales contracts
  • Fluent in written and spoken English


Technical university/Master/Bachelor in Process, electrical, automation or mechanical discipline. Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education. Experience from relevant maritime / oil and gas industries or positions is an advantage
