Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

Wärtsilä is seeking for a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, to join our West Africa Operational Organization based in Nouakchott, Mauritania. 

 

 

 As a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, your daily duties include but are not limited to:

  • Planning, execution and reporting of the scheduled and unplanned mechanical maintenances for the W50DF and plant auxiliaries.
  • Follow work orders in Maximo, Sales Workforce.
  • Execute the jobs and report the work orders with all the descriptions in Maximo & SWR (Service Work Report).
  • Create weekly and monthly reports for the mechanical maintenance performed and up keeping of the records.
  • Trouble shooting and condition monitoring of the power plant equipment for enriched engine performance.
  • Management of spare parts, forecasting, inventory and spares consumption record.
  • Training and development of local sub-ordinates.
  • Adherence to safety standards of the plant and 5S implementation.

       

 

Requirements for the position:

  • Higher National Diploma(HND) or Degree in Engineering(B.Eng) or Technology (B.Tech) in Mechanical
  • 5- 8 years of Power Plant Experience.
  • Working experience in any Wartsila engines.
  • Maximo & Sales Force experience will be preferred.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Good observational skills and a willingness to learn. 
  • Good communication skills.
  •  Ability to work in a team
