Trainee - Electrical Maintenance

Wartsila is looking for Fresh Engineers to join our Operations & Maintenance team in Nouakchott, Mauritania. In this role you will gain hands-on experience in power plant operations, maintenance, safety, and asset management while working alongside experienced industry professionals. Main Responsibilities

• Support daily mechanical and electrical maintenance and operational activities at the power plant.
• Work closely with the maintenance team to develop knowledge of power plant equipment and maintenance best practices.
• Learn and participate in the planning and execution of planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities.
• Follow and understand plant safety procedures and operational standards.
• Assist with plant reporting, scheduling, testing, and other operational activities.
• Support logistics, spare parts, and inventory management processes.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Have:

• Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) / (Engg) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Fresh graduates who completed their degree in 2025 or later are encouraged to apply.
• Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.
• Good computer literacy and proficiency in standard office applications.
• Must be a Mauritanian national
