In-Situ Specialist


We are now looking for an In-Situ Specialists to join our great team of travelling engineers in Panama. We offer on-site machining on major engine components and on other equipment and machinery. Our main market is the marine sector but we tend to operate as well as on land based installations and on more general industries. The preferred location for this position is in Panama or Mexico. It is also here we have our knowledge-centre for this business, meaning that the position is placed in the heart of our technical development.
What will you be doing 
In this position, your work will include global travels, hands-on machining with mobile tools and an insight in how on-site repairs can change the course for our customers when in need. A typical assignment includes travels on swift notice and the stay varies between a couples of days to about 2 weeks. The normal attendance is done in pairs, but on certain services we travel alone.
For us to be the best match, we expect you to have firm technical experience, preferably within machine-shop activities such as: Support lathe operations, milling and drilling operations and grinding knowledge of all sorts. A true respect for fine tolerances and measurements.
As an ideal candidate, you have gained experience from working with the above stated tasks, but also reached a personal experience and self-awareness, allowing you to be able to take on the factors included with global travels. Understanding and respecting all cultures and ways of living, wherever the assignment is located.
As an In-Situ Specialist, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 
• Machining of equipment at our customers premises
• Mobile/portable lathe, milling and grinding
• Global travels within short notice
• General mechanical tasks, such as disassembly and assembly
• Detailed alignment and measuring
• Comprehensive technical reporting

• Good written and spoken Spanish and English
