Business Development Manager
We are now looking for a
Business Development Manager
to work in strategic planning, sales management, and prospecting for new clients, to help grow of our TheBearingCentre business area. The position is permanent and the preferred location is Vigo Spain, but other locations are possible.
What will you be doing
In this position, your work will be the development of a new area of our business focusing the industrial market. You will not be working on this alone, even though the work requires a high level of independency, you will have the support of the current Bearing Centre team.

As Business Development Manager, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
- Originate new business opportunities for Bearing Centre, with a focus on establishing new customers master service agreements.
- Examines risks and potentials for the business opportunities.
- Develop, manage, and grow long term relationships with key customer accounts throughout project lifecycle.
- Create new opportunities from named accounts, influencing customers' decisions by aligning their needs with Wärtsilä value proposition.
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
- Create strong market presence and increase awareness of Wärtsilä Bearing Centre
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive, or a relevant role.
- At least five (5) years of experience in White metal bearings business
- Fluency in English, with superior oral and written communication skills
- Strong technical aptitude, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
- In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 50%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
