Design Engineer

We are now looking for a

Design Engineer

to join our team working for a better future.

The position is permanent and the preferred location is in Porriño, Spain.

What you will be doing

As Design Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:

• Guides and leads an engineering team, coordinating daily operational activities and ensuring the effective execution of technical projects and activities.
• Implements and ensures compliance with engineering best practices, policies and processes to improve efficiency and quality of work.
• Cultivates the team towards achievement of team and employee objectives, supporting the growth and capability development of team members and fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation to build a strong technical expertise base.
• Manages relationships with customers, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Champions continuous improvement and innovation in engineering practices, contributing to the development of new solutions and processes.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant guidelines, regulations and standards.
• Champions quality assurance processes and oversees the documentation of engineering solutions to maintain high standards of engineering practice.

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

• Knowledge is assessed within a defined area of ​​engineering work, advising others on processes and tasks with advanced customer knowledge and primarily in hydrodynamic bearings in the energy, mining and industrial markets.
• Experience in coordinating the daily activities of an engineering team and acts as a guide and subject matter expert for less experienced team members.
• Proficiency CAD programs for 3D design and drawing are required; experience with Inventor is an advantage.
• Level of English for full professional development

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
