We are now looking for a
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Support
to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent and the location is in Porriño (Spain),
What you will be doing
You will manage the EHS Management system ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 processes and activities, assuring compliance with all EHS legal requirements (government, local, etc.).
Additionally, you will promote and maintain the Wärtsilä Health, Safety & Environment policy, procedures, and mindset within the company.
As EHS Support, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the safety culture and the Wartsila EHS standards.
- Define, communicate, and deploy action plans and key initiatives within own responsibility area.
- Identify and evaluate the problems of the company's EHS Management System, propose appropriate solutions and verify the implementation and compliance of these solutions.
- Identify and record any problems related to EHS aspects or risks, analysis of the causes and make proposals for causes and proposals for improvements.
- Investigate accidents/incidents, dangerous occurrences, determine causes for occurrences and recommend preventive actions.
- Identify, develop and record training needs.
- Prepare and coordinate internal EHS audits.
- Give support to Wellbeing activities.
- Coordinate and follow up the reports and actions in WeCare related to the site.
- Ensure legal compliance: Waste Management, H&S requirements (noise, environment emissions, working environment conditions, etc.) and
- Wartsila Sustainability report Follow-up.
- Submit all reports resulting from compliance with legal requirements
- Conflict Minerals declaration.
- EHS performance and KPI´s Follow-up.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
- Occupational risk prevention Official technical education
- Environmental management training
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
- Knowledge of EHS Spanish, Galician and local legislation.
- Fluent in Spanish is mandated, English is recommended,
- At least 5 years' experience in industry
- Communication and teamwork skills.
- Reporting & analysing skills.
- Training & development skills
In this role, some travel is required. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
