We are now looking for Quality Manager to join our Quality Dept. team, working for a more sustainable future and continue maintain the Safety Mindset in our Company. This position is permanent and the location for the successful candidate will be Porriño, Pontevedra (Spain).  

 

What will you be doing 


As Environment, Health and Safety Responsible, your work will focus on: 
 

  • Lead and manage the EHS Management system ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 processes and activities 

  • Assure the Compliance within all EHS Legal requirements (Government, Local, etc.). 

  • Promote and maintain the Wärtsilä Health, Safety & Environment policy, Mindset and procedures 

  • These will be your main responsibilities: 

  • Planning and monitoring auditory of the EHS Management System 

  • Identify and evaluate the problems of the company's EHS Management System, propose appropriate solutions and verify the implementation and compliance of these solutions. 

  • Lead, cooperate and manage EHS processes or team in SLS Spain and China.  

  • Define, communicate, and deploy action plans and key initiatives within own responsibility area. 

  • Ensure legal compliance: Waste Management, H&S requirements (noise, environment emissions, working environment conditions, etc.) 

  • Has the responsibility to secure that all employees have completed all mandatory EHS trainings as per applicable legislation. 

  • Develop and manage safety competence development planning and performing the mandatory Wartsila trainings. 

  • Wartsila Sustainability report Follow-up 

  • Red-on line auditory planning 

  • Conflict Minerals declaration 

  • EHS KPI´s Follow-up (SLS Spain and China) 

  • Monitor and report business EHS performance within own responsibility area. 

  • Develop and maintain the safety culture.  

  • Identify and record any problems related to EHS aspects, analysis of the causes and make proposals for causes and proposals for improvements.

In this role, some travel could be required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
