We are now looking for a 

 

Supplier Development Engineer

 

to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent but the initial contract will be for one year as a trial period. The preferred location is in Porriño.

 

What you will be doing 

 

As Supplier Development Engineer you will be verifying supplier compliance, conducting audits to ensure efficiency and standards adherence. 

 

As Supplier Development Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities: 

 

  • Conduct supplier audits according to an audit schedule with the aim of ensuring process efficiency, and compliance to relevant standards.
  • Ensure that suppliers and their processes are capable to provide products and services according to our drawings, quality instructions, or other specifications.
  • Analyse supplier performances and work together on action plans for performance improvement in areas such as compliance, sustainability, quality, delivery, cost, safety and packaging.
  • Collaborate in the prospecting/ onboarding of new suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance (KPI reporting)


You will shine in this role, when you have: 

 

Education:

  • Academic degree in Mechanical or Inductrial Engineering or similar.

 

Technical skills:

  • Manufacturing Experience: Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
  • Regulations and Standards: Familiarity with regulations and standards for the naval and component manufacturing industries.

 

Soft skills:

  • Problem-Solving Ability: identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Teamwork.
  • Comunication: clearly and effectively communication both in writing and verbally.
     

Experience:

  • Previous experience in the naval industry or in the manufacturing of mechanical components for marine applications.
  • Audits and Quality Control: Experience in conducting supplier audits and in quality control of components.

 

In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 10%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
