Electrical Engineer Maintenance

As an Electrical Engineer your work will include:  


•    Coordinate / Supervise daily electrical maintenance activities at the plant and/or assigned team.
•    Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are reached according to the contract in own responsibility area.
•    Provide maintenance procedures and standards for new workers.
•    Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts and tools and ensure those are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies and take corrective actions when needed.
•    Ensure that the work at the plant is executed according to Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures as well as assigned maintenance plan.
•    Review completed work to ensure that repairs have been completed correctly and that machinery and equipment conform to specifications and safety standards.
•    Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment.
•    Develop the maintenance working routines at the plant.
•    Prioritize and assign tasks so that assigned team resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met.
 
Requirements for the position 
•     Graduate in Electrical Engineering with 5 years experience or Diploma with 10 years experience.
•    Capable to read and understand electrical drawings and technical instructions.
•    Need to work on PLC & SCADA system and perform troubleshooting.
•    Knowledge about the protection relays, LV system, HV system, Alternator & engine auxiliary systems and troubleshooting skills.  
•    Experience on Wartsila control system (UNIC C1 and C2)
•    Need to lead team of electrical technicians and coach them.
•    Practical experience in overhauling engines and auxiliary systems. Candidates should be prepared to engage in hands-on work.
 
As an ideal candidate you might also have :


•     Experience in maintenance of large diesel engine-based power plants.
•    Excellent problem-solving abilities.
•    Good communication skills and working with multi-cultural group.
•    Attention to details and precision in work.  
•    Follow Wartsila's and customer's safety compliance.  
•    Need to work extra hours if situation arise.  
•    Experience on Wartsila maintenance system (MAXIMO).
