Maintenance Supervisor

Your main responsibilities are

  • Coordinate daily mechanical maintenance activities to ensure that equipment, machinery, and instruments function reliably and safely at the plant. Ensure that facilities, buildings, and plant equipment are in good working order.
  • Execute all Major Maintenances of the Engines and Auxiliaries.
  • Ensure that the performance targets of the plant are achieved according to the contract within the responsible area.
  • Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools, ensuring they are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies. Take corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure that work is executed at the plant according to Wärtsilä's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines, customer site procedures, and the assigned maintenance plan.
  • Inspect completed work to verify that repairs have been correctly done and machinery/equipment meet specifications and safety standards.
  • Coach and mentor maintenance staff, assisting them in diagnosing complex machinery or equipment issues.
  • Develop and implement maintenance routines and schedules at the plant.
  • Prioritize and assign tasks effectively to ensure resources are used efficiently and work schedules and targets are met.
  • Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Development Responsibilities:
  • Develop efficient maintenance standards, procedures, working instructions, processes, guidelines, and policies.
  • Train and develop maintenance personnel.
  • Foster a sustainable safety culture and an OpEx-driven mindset.

You will shine in this role when you have:

  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, preferably Wärtsilä engines.
  • This position is ON-OFF at a Mines Site.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably with field service experience.
