Your main responsibilities are:
- Supervise and coordinate daily electrical maintenance activities at the plant and/or within the assigned team.
- Ensure that plant performance targets are achieved in accordance with contractual obligations within your area of responsibility.
- Establish and provide maintenance procedures and standards for new employees.
- Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools, ensuring they are maintained according to applicable guidelines and policies; take corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with Customer and Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, Site procedures, and the assigned maintenance plan.
- Review completed maintenance tasks to verify that repairs have been properly executed and that machinery and equipment meet required specifications and safety standards.
- Coach and mentor maintenance staff, assisting them in diagnosing complex machinery or equipment issues.
- Develop and improve maintenance routines and workflows at the plant.
- Prioritize and allocate tasks to optimize team resources and ensure work schedules and performance targets are met.
You will shine in this role when you have:
- A graduate in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or a diploma holder with at least 10 years of experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Skilled in working with PLC and SCADA systems, including programming, modifications, troubleshooting and diagnostics.
- Strong knowledge of protection relays, low voltage (LV) and high voltage (HV) systems, alternators, and engine auxiliary systems, with proven troubleshooting capabilities.
- Hands-on experience with Wärtsilä control systems, specifically UNIC C1 and C2.
- Capable of leading a team of electrical engineers, technicians, providing guidance and coaching as needed.
- Practical experience in overhauling engines and auxiliary systems, with a readiness to perform hands-on maintenance tasks.
- Proven experience in maintaining large diesel engine-based power plants.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multicultural team.
- Willingness to work extended hours when required by operational needs.
- Familiarity with Wärtsilä maintenance management system, MAXIMO.
